  • This is the perfect tour for guests without a lot of time and/or for visitors to Atlanta who want to see more of the city than they ever could by walking. The Electric Cars and Segways are quiet, eco-friendly, provide for a more personal setting, and give you all the tools that you need to have a great stay in Atlanta.

  • Chevron down Should I purchase tickets in advance?
  • The only way to guarantee your seat on an electric car or Segway for a specific date/time is online through our website, or over the phone at 404.492.7009 with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. All other tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Chevron down Where do the tours begin?
  • Most of the tours begin in Downtown Atlanta, one block from Centennial Olympic Park, at The American Hotel.  The hotel is located at 160 Ted Turner Dr NW, Atlanta GA 30303.  We are located outside of the hotel in Suite D (next to Circle K convenience store).


    For Stone Mountain Segway Tours, the starting point is at Stone Mountain Park.  Our office is located at the Waterfront.

  • Chevron down If a tour is sold out can I get on a waiting list?
  • We do not provide a waiting list. If a date is sold out, please check our tour calendar for available tickets on one of our other daily tours.

  • Chevron down What is your cancellation policy?
  • Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded and cannot be rescheduled because your space is being guaranteed at the event.

  • Chevron down What happens if I arrive late, after Segway tour training has started?
  • IMPORTANT: Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in and start your tour and training on time. If you arrive late, we will NOT let you join a tour group that has already started training and your money will not be refunded or your tour rescheduled. Safety and complete training for all of our guests is our first priority. No exceptions allowed!!

  • Chevron down Do you offer hotel pick-ups?
  • Hotel pick-ups are only offered for the Electric Car Tour. Our tours leave from a convenient location in downtown Atlanta but we do offer hotel pick-ups for an additional cost if you are taking the Electric Car Tour. Hotel pick-ups are an additional $5 per person. Pick-ups are available from downtown hotels, including but not limited to: Marriott Marquis, Hyatt Regency, Omni Hotel, Hilton Downtown, Ellis Hotel, and the Sheraton Downtown. If you are interested in a hotel pick-up, please be sure to add the appropriate number of Hotel Pickup Extras to your order and select your pick-up location when purchasing your tickets.

    Guests requesting a pick up should arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of their tour time at the hotel valet stand.

    Alternative Transporation:
    Not staying in downtown? If you are unfamiliar with getting around the Atlanta area, we recommend taking advantage of the services provided by Uber.

  • Chevron down Are tours given in bad weather?
  • Tours run rain or shine. But don’t worry! Some of our best tours have taken place in less-than-perfect weather! The cars are equipped with doors and Segway tour riders are offered ponchos in the case of inclement weather. However, you should still dress appropriately for the day’s weather conditions. In the rare event of severe inclement weather, we may be required to cancel the tour.

  • Riding a Segway is a lot easier than you think! The utmost care and research has gone into ensuring that the Segway PT is safe. The Segway PT’s balancing technology is truly revolutionary and provides an exceptional riding experience. The Segway PT has redundant systems and sophisticated alerts built into its design, and many thousands of hours of use have demonstrated that the Segway PT is safe when used appropriately. It is important that Segway PT riders understand their responsibility to ride safely. Proper skill level and understanding of the Segway PT prevents injuries caused by loss of control or misuse.

  • Chevron down Do I have to sign a liability waiver?
  • Yes. All participants must sign a liability waiver at the start of the tour. Participants aged 18 or younger must have an adult 21 years or above sign for them and participate in the ride with them.

  • Chevron down Is there an age or weight limit for the tour?
  • Electric Car Tours

    Due to Georgia State child seat laws, all guests are required to be at least 8 years old or 4’9″ tall in order to participate in the tour. There are no specific weight restrictions per guest, however, the car does have a maximum weight limit and guests should keep in mind that our electric cars are not the same size as a regular passenger car. Based on the overall weight limit, the recommended weight per guest that will allow for everyone’s comfort and safety is an average of 260 lbs.

    Please keep in mind that all guests will be required to wear a standard seat belt for the duration of the tour. If this cannot be accomplished, unfortunately the guest will not be able to join the tour.

    Segway Tours

    Although riding a Segway is relatively easy to do and learn, we do require that all riders be at least 14 years of age. There is a recommended limit of 100-260 lbs. and we ask our guests to be within a reasonable range of these limits.

  • Electric Car Tours

    The maximum number of guests per car is five and we usually run two to three cars per tour. Therefore, groups of six or more will need to split up between two cars. On a very rare occasion, groups smaller than six may need to be split up as well.

    Segway Tours

    Our Segway tours are kept at a maximum of seven per group with a goal of keeping your tour experience as intimate as possible.

  • Chevron down Do Segways have the ability to store bags, purses?
  • We have the ability to transport necessary items i.e. cameras, medications, etc. All other large personal items are required to be kept at our meeting location. ATL-Cruzers is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

  • Chevron down Are tours only offered in English?
  • Yes, we only offer tours in English at this time.

  • Chevron down Is there parking near the meeting location?
  • There are multiple parking lots near our office. One is located on Spring Street, just before you reach the DoubleTree Hotel. Another is on the corner of Andrew Young International Blvd. and Williams Street. We are also conveniently located one block away from the Peachtree Center MARTA Station.

  • Chevron down Is there a restroom stop?
  • Electric Car Tours

    No, there’s no opportunity for a bathroom stop during the tour. We have restrooms available for your convenience at our office and suggest that guests use these before their tour if needed.

    Segway Tours

    Segway Tours include a 15 minute stop which allows for a bathroom break.

  • Chevron down Are the tours wheelchair accessible?
  • Unfortunately, wheelchairs are not permitted on our tours, and strollers are not permitted, due to the size of the vehicles. However, we can always secure these items at our office during the tour.

  • Chevron down Do we go inside attractions?
  • We don’t during our tours but you can afterwards. Purchase your CityPASS booklet and get five of Atlanta’s top attractions at one convenient price – just $79 for adults and $64 for children (three –  12). CityPASS is the best package deal and has cut the price of admission nearly in half!

    We also sell tickets for The Inside CNN Studio Tour, Georgia Aquarium, and The World of Coke. Tickets may be purchased upon check-in at our office.

  • Chevron down Am I allowed to take pictures?
  • Electric Car Tours

    YES! Although this is a driving tour, there will be ample opportunities for you to take pictures during the tours.

    Segway Tours

    YES! We simply ask that you allow your tour guide to take all pictures while on tour. Please ask him or her and they’ll take care of you.

  • Chevron down What if I've heard great things about a particular guide?
  • We are proud to say we receive excellent feedback on all of our guides! They are all friendly and love to share their knowledge about neighborhoods, restaurants, attractions, and more. We’re sorry, but we cannot guarantee a particular tour guide on a specific tour.

  • Chevron down Do I tip my tour guide?
  • Yes! Our guides love what they do, but researching and discovering the best of the city is expensive! Tipping is customary in the U.S. service industry and is an important component of guides’ compensation. The tip amount is at your discretion, but consider giving 15-20% for a job well done.

  • Chevron down Do your tours have anything to offer a local?
  • Very much so! Many of our repeat guests are natives of Atlanta. Locals often attend to learn about the neighborhood and the city in which they live. In fact, many are repeats and bring friends and family when visiting the city.

  • Chevron down Are Segway rentals available?
  • At this time, we do not offer Segway rentals.

  • Chevron down Do you offer food tours?
  • Yes. We offer private food tours on the electric cars. Please visit the private group tour page and complete the private tour inquiry form to get additional information.

  • Chevron down What's included in a food tour?
  • The food tour is a three-hour experience in which guests will visit five local neighborhoods and have five tastings at local eateries or food halls. The per person price includes the tasting and tour. Gratuity is not included in the ticket price.

    Food tours are only provided on a requested basis. Please feel free to fill out our private group request form for more information.

  • Chevron down Can we customize our private food tour stops?
  • No. The tour will stop at five predetermined local eateries. We have established relationships with many of our local vendors and believe these places will give guests a true appreciation of Atlanta culture. Upon request, we can accommodate an alcohol stop if everyone in the group is over 21 years of age.
